stay

Accomodation

Margate gets busy in summer, so it’s a good idea to book accommodation well in advance. We recommend staying along the beachfront, in the Old Town, or in Cliftonville – you’ll be perfectly placed within walking distance to all venues.

There are plenty of self-serviced rentals across Margate found on Airbnb and Booking.com.

If you’d prefer to stay in a hotel, guests of our wedding can enjoy a 10% discount at Fort Road Hotel. Just email ahead of booking to let them know you’re attending Alice and Jon’s wedding at the Turner Contemporary.

Getting there

By car
Take the M2 and follow the A299 (Thanet Way) straight into Margate. Parking can be tricky so please plan ahead.

By train
Margate station is well connected to London St Pancras (90 mins) and London Victoria (up to 2 hours).

By plane
For those flying in, the nearest airports are in London – with Gatwick and Heathrow being the most convenient. Both offer easy train connections to Margate via central.
